I keep my clients focused on their long-term plans during the entire case and encourage them to play fair and to be respectful. There are can be disappointments, surprises, and delays in this process which many people find very distressing. While I do not think I will ever “see it all,” I have seen enough to know what issues are important and worth fighting for and which are the normal bumps along the way.
Your Advocate
My first strategy is always to try to reach an out of court agreement to save my clients the expense and burden of trials. I have negotiated many fair agreements on cases involving child custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence, premarital agreements, division of complex assets, and non-marital cohabitation claims.
From time to time, fair settlement agreements cannot be reached, and when this happens, I am ready for court.
